# Follow-up text message templates

Use these messages as a starting point. Replace bracketed fields, verify every detail, and use a text only when it is an expected and appropriate channel. Keep one purpose and one easy next step per message.

## Before you send

- Confirm the name, topic and promised details.
- Follow the other person's channel and timing preference.
- Ask one clear question; do not manufacture urgency.
- Stop when asked, and follow your organization's process and applicable contact rules.
- If a text needs a long explanation or an attachment, ask whether email or a call is better.
