Security
Local compute and owner control
Teriara's security model is built on keeping the heavy intelligence work on machines the owner runs and controlling every egress.
Verified engineering facts
- Core pipeline (transcription, diarization, identity fusion, extraction, modeling) executes on operator hardware with local LLMs and stores.
- Talk media is encrypted at rest; the SFU cannot read call content. Keys stay with the owner.
- Default posture: no third-party AI provider receives conversation content for model training or inference.
- Product surfaces for consent, export, delete, and safety checks are present.
- HTTP security headers restrict geolocation, microphone, and camera permissions for the marketing site itself.
Self-hosted Talk is a server you (or your team) run. It is not "data in someone else's product cloud."
